Troubleshooting was non-trivial. After determining the front-panel switch was not the problem, had to pull the unit out of the countertop slot, pull the top of the stove off to get to the relay area. Then swapped wires between suspected faulty relay and a relay that was still 'clicking' to confirm the fault. Then put everything back together so we could eat until receipt of the new part. Dryer won't stop at end of cycle or buzzer stopped working? This signal switch controls end-of-cycle alerts and timer shutoff. Takes about 30 minutes to replace.
Replaced the signal switch and it fixed the problem. The signal switch also sends a signal to the motor driving the timer switch to turn off at end of cycle. My signal switch was defective; upon replacement dryer now works fine. The part costs were 45 dollars and time to replace was about 30 min. Figured I saved about $130 bucks vs. a technician coming over to fix. Read more
