This float stem is the vertical rod that links the dishwasher's tub float to the float switch. It ensures the fill valve shuts off at the correct level to help prevent overfilling, leaks, and poor cleaning results.
- Transfers the float's up/down movement to the float switch to stop water intake
- Helps maintain proper water level and protect against overfill-related leaks
- Failure may cause continuous filling/overfilling, low water level/poor cleaning, or a float that binds or feels loose
- Replace if the stem is cracked, warped, or missing
What's included: 1 float stem Install notes:
- Disconnect power and shut off water before servicing
- Remove the lower rack, take off the float cap, and lift out the float to access the stem
- From below the tub, detach the stem from the switch/retainer and install the new stem in the same orientation
- Ensure the float moves freely and actuates the switch; run a fill test and check for leaks
- Steps can vary by model.

Drain hose was leaking Haide H. • Chatham Township , NJ • May 01, 2017
The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge. Putting the new parts on was an easy 5 minute job.

Had a leak around the vent cover Richard M. • Albuquerque , NM • January 10, 2016
The 4 screws that hold the vent cover in place also hold the assembly inside the door that has the heater motor and other items. The four screws go through the assembly inside the door, through the door and into 4 plastic legs on the vent cover. Two of the legs on the vent cover were broken and therefore the vent cover and the assembly inside the door were not being held tight against the door. The water was leaking in that area.
