I originally thought it was just accumulated dirt and sludge in the sump and the lines. I cleaned all that and it was not the cause. Saw this video...took off the filter frame and the piston & nut assembly was definitely broke (cap deteriorated to nothing). Need pliers to break it free as in the video. I accidentally ripped the screen taking off the filter frame, and saw a hole from the heating rod on top of the inlet cover so I replaced them too. Very easy replacement project once it was... Left side. Color: white. It measures about 1 inch high by 1-1/2 inches deep.
For the right side. Color: white. It measures about 1 inch high by 1-1/2 inches deep.
Spent a long time cleaning out accumulated soap buildup. Replaced 'Piston Nut' valve. Problem continued. Found a leak from the solenoid actuated drain flap in pump assembly. Solenoid was corroded due to leak. Decided to replace entire pump unit due to age and accumulated build up in all parts. Replacement was easy after pulling dishwasher out and turning upside down. Also replaced flapper valve, and lower spray arm assembly. Dishwasher is now running great with no problems. Read more
The new tube would not snap on, because the plastic insulation on the dish rack swelled up, so i could not snap on the tube. So I filed of some of the swollen insulation, and now so I could snap the tube on and it works. Thanks you. I Read more
