My refrigerator's cooling fan was making a noise. It wasn't loud; in fact, it was barely discernible. However, it was just loud enough to annoy me. The fan blade was hitting the shroud every now and then, creating a subtle, yet annoying sound. I'd tried tightening all the screws back there, and it helped-for a while. The noise came back. After looking at the fan motor, I noticed the bushings; it occurred to me that they might be the culprit. And why not? They were the originals installed at the... Read more

The Capacitor is an OEM component specifically designed for GE refrigerators with bottom-mount freezers. Located inside near the compressor unit, it aids in powering the refrigerator system during startup.
Causes of a bad capacitor include normal wear from thousands of startup cycles. Exposure to moisture or fluctuating voltages over many years can diminish performance.
Symptoms of a failing capacitor include:
Replacing with this genuine GE capacitor restores reliable operation. Compatible with GE bottom-freezer models, it features reliable aluminum electrolytic construction. Backed by GE quality, this replacement ensures smooth powering of the compressor for efficient cooling cycles. Compatible replacements are also available for GE Profile and GE Cafe series refrigerators.
The Defrost Heater Assembly is an OEM replacement part for GE refrigerators. This assembly is responsible for preventing the buildup of ice and frost on the evaporator coils by providing controlled heat during the defrost cycle. It helps prevent ice accumulation that can hinder the refrigerator's ability to cool properly.
A bad defrost heater assembly can occur due to electrical issues, component failure, or damage to the heating element. If you notice symptoms such as excessive frost or ice buildup in the freezer compartment, inconsistent cooling, or water leaking from the refrigerator, it may indicate a need to replace the defrost heater assembly.
Symptoms of a bad defrost heater assembly include:
Restore your refrigerator by replacing the faulty defrost heater assembly with this genuine OEM part.
This GE part can also be used on Hotpoint, RCA, and Kenmore/Sears appliances.
The Grommet Water Fill Assembly is an OEM component specifically designed for GE top-mount refrigerators. It is located at the back of the fresh food compartment and consists of the water inlet grommet that channels water from the external line.
During use, causes of failure can include mineral buildup on the filter over time inhibiting proper water flow. Deterioration of the inlet grommet seal may also occur.
Symptoms of a bad water fill assembly include:
This OEM GE replacement ensures a secure seal and mesh filtration for clear, contaminant-free water going to the dispenser. It maintains proper filling and is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
This compressor start device is the overload/PTC relay combo that mounts on the compressor. It delivers the initial start boost and protects against overheating so your refrigerator starts reliably and maintains proper cooling.
