This tube T fitting connects three sections of refrigerator tubing to route water to the dispenser or ice maker. It provides a compact, plumbed junction for matching 1/4" and 3/8" tube sizes and helps restore proper water flow. What it does:

Joins one 1/4" and two 3/8" water lines into a single T-shaped junction for dispensers/ice makers
Re-establishes a sealed connection when a split or damaged tube junction causes leaks

After doing some recon online, looked like the check valve was the likely culprit. Sure enough, when I pulled the old one out (it attaches to the larger white tube coming out of RO membrane chamber) I could blow air through it both ways, indicating it was shot. I used a little plumbers tape when I installed the new check valve into the membrane chamber. Install notes:

Turn off the feed water and tank valve; open the faucet to relieve pressure
Place a towel or pan under the sink; disconnect tubing from the old faucet

Set the new faucet, reconnect tubing per system instructions, tighten hardware, and check for leaks before use
