Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. Cleaned up broken glass. Ordered new glass. Removed 2 screws. Pulled back handle. Inserted new glass into track at bottom. Snapped in handle. Tightened up the 2 screws. Done. Peace of cake!! Video on your site was helpful. Read more

Easy fix thanks to APP. My stove is a 2008 GE flat surface electric range. Installed new oven control module in about 30 minutes. I spent the money on a new faceplate also, to avoid having to peel off and re-adhere the old one. Oven is back to proper function. I will honestly say that I paid a few dollars more to buy from APP, because their website is so helpful, with videos and advice for testing and repair. Worth the extra! Shipping was fast also. Figured out how to take oven apart then removed all the old insulation. Throughly cleaned every thing and black taped the wire where the mice chewed on it. I ordered this insulation and didn't use the oven until it came in. Once I received it I took the oven back apart and placed the insulation in place. Every thing was precut to size. Super easy to install! Then put everything back together. Oven is good as new. Read more
