Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. First, the reader should know that the oven is a GE wall oven, model JKS05P1 and it was 22 years old when I made the repair. I bought the door seal from Appliance Parts Pros so used the directions in the Q&A for this part. I loosened the screws as directed, but the old seal wouldn't budge. I searched online for other directions and discovered the screws needed to come out and the inner-liner needed to be pulled forward just a bit. Used a fluke volt meter to troubleshoot the gas range. Upon inspection one of the igniter switches was bad and the spark module was also bad. Ordered replacement parts from Appliance Parts Pros and changed them out. I followed the replacement instruction video for the spark module kit, but the igniter switch I had to figure out since the video for it was a different style of switch. This rubber grommet cushions and protects wiring or small appliance components from vibration and abrasion, helping reduce noise and prevent chafing where a wire or part passes through a housing. What it does:
Color: Gray. This is a set of two gas range double drip pans. This kit replaces black which is no longer available.
I ordered replacement drip pans & grates. My only problem is that my stove's color is bisque & I could only get drip pans in grey. The new grates match the old ones. The grey drip pans look ok; certainly better than the ones I had. Read more
