  • Uneven baking results or hot spots in the oven
  • A visible flame or the burner not igniting properly
  • Unusual smells or noises coming from the oven during baking

This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Failed oven igniter   Eric P. • Phoenix , AZ • June 26, 2015

Screws on igniter mount were stripped, I cut and drilled them but destroyed the bake assembly tube in the process. I ordered igniter, bake assembly L shaped tube, and 2 screws from Appliance pros. Once I received the parts, the fix took less than 10 minutes. Parts were perfect. Was challenging because of the stripped screws, I recommend removing the entire bake assembly L shaped tube before attempting to unscrew the igniter from its mounts, you may not strip them that way. Other than... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You I had to replace my oven igniter (for the broiler section of the stove)   Greg M. • Hawthorne , NJ • March 18, 2018

Very simple. I have done it before. But you have to pull out the oven and remove the rear cover that covers the electrical connections. The wire for the igniter has to be pushed through from the inside of the oven into the rear of the oven in order to connect it. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Clear plastic over display was ripped   Wayne S. • Los Alamos , NM • January 13, 2016

1) Removed knobs. 2) Removed large nuts under knobs, which allowed me to lift the cover. 3) At this point I could see the bolts holding down the key panel, which I removed. 4) The key panel is attached by a wire ribbon to the controller underneath it, so I removed the bolts holding it in place. 5) The wire ribbon is held in place on the control panel by a plastic wedge. Pulling the wedge out, released the old wire ribbon. 6) Putting the new wire ribbon and reinserting the plastic wedge secured... Read more
