Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. Had to remove old glass shards, and reflector tape. Would recommend pliers. I used a utility knife and gloves. Then removed the screws on the top section of outer glass trim. This allowed me to install the metal handle brackets inside and partially behind the trim piece, before securing to new glass. Via chat, you recommended the correct replacement element and connectors for higher temperatures. The bag had 20 connectors, so I could practice crimping. Removing the oven door helped access the screws. The fan cover needed to be removed to expose the screws that retained the heating element. Once the screws were removed, pulled the heating element out and disconnected the spade connectors. Cut and placed new connector on the burned wire. Crimped with my stripper tool. Connected the...
