It was fixed by a certified technician from the Appliance Store that I purchased the refrigerator. My KitchenAid refrigerator had a 10 year part warranty on the sealed system. The Tube-Disc and Compressor was replaced under this warranty. This part was on 2-weel backorder at Whirlpool Factory Parts. By the time I had done all the damage I discovered I could have taken the handle off. The rest is history - found I could order a new handle and presto - the refrigerator looks great again. Read more
We turned off the circuit breaker. We then removed the light cover and then the control panel. We disconnected the Keyboard, Utah, plugged in the new one and turned the breaker on to see if everything worked. We realized that we did not need a new jazz board so that is being returned. The old Keyboard was removed, the new one attached and all the parts were put back. The frig works fine now at the recommended settings of zero and 38F. Read more
