This lower oven thermostat regulates oven temperature for accurate baking and roasting. Replaces a failed temperature-sensing thermostat to restore consistent oven heat and reliable cooking results. What it does:
I tested the temperature sensor with my multimeter and found it reading 2000 ohms instead of 1000. I ordered the part, installed it and saved lots of money. I was considering buying a new oven but thought I would give it a shot and with all the information available it was easy. Read more

The first thing I did was call appliance pros. The tec told me it was a good chance it was the thermostat. He told how to test it with my ohm meter and what range it should be in. I pulled it out and tested it, which was out of the limits he told me it should be in. So I ordered the part. When it arrived in two days, I installed it. The oven now works perfect.
