Oven not heating. Randy M. • Fort Wayne , IN • September 10, 2019
Whirlpool convection oven. Access to convection element from inside. Three screws to remove plate covering fan blade. Then one screw to remove element bracket. I placed tape over the holes with the wires so they wouldn’t pull back into the panel. Remove old element at tabs and replace. Very easy fix. Removing door to oven made it easier to get to but not necessary.

This time-delay fuse protects the appliance's power circuit by opening when current exceeds a safe level while tolerating brief inrush current. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the root cause is corrected. What it does:
- Protects the line and control circuits from shorts and overloads
- Time-delay design helps prevent nuisance opening during startup surges
- When open, the unit will be completely dead—no display, lights, or response
- Repeatedly opening usually indicates an unresolved electrical fault that needs diagnosis
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing; some appliances can retain dangerous high voltage
- Replace only with the same type and rating specified by the manufacturer
- Inspect the fuse holder and wiring for heat damage or loose connections before reassembly
- If the new fuse opens immediately, stop and diagnose the underlying cause; never bypass or upsize a fuse

Microwave stated ‘door open’ and would not work. Margo D. • Tarpley , TX • March 17, 2019
I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news! We replaced the fuse, bus fuse, and light bulb (quit working 2 years ago) and all is working. Thanks for the information and for the part diagram. Couldn't have done it without you.

This part is a cooling fan assembly that is made for wall ovens. The primary function of this part is to circulate the air throughout the oven control area. This keeps the controls, wiring, and other components cool while the oven is in use.In the vent that the control panel itself becomes hot while the oven is running, it is likely that the cooling fan is not working. Some users report a loud rattling noise when this part has gone bad. Be sure to let the oven cool completely before replacing this part. Disconnect the wall oven from its power source before attempting to replace this part. Allow the appliance plenty of time to cool down before starting. Wear work gloves for safety. This specific cooling fan assembly is compatible with wall ovens that are manufactured by the Whirlpool brand, including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, and Roper. Oven slow to heat and reported temperature did not equal an internal check. Douglas M. • Perry , FL • September 11, 2022
The oven temperature was low and the heating time excessive. However, the range display showed the requested 400F, even though the oven was really 250F. Because the oven displayed an inaccurate temperature, I ordered an oven sensor, a heating element, and a terminal block.
Replacing the heating element fixed the problem. The element I received was the same shape and size, but the supports were not the same. However, I think it must have been a design change after mine was manufactured...
