Oven not heating evenly or convection mode not working? This rear convection element restores even baking and roasting. 20-minute DIY repair.
Whirlpool convection oven. Access to convection element from inside. Three screws to remove plate covering fan blade. Then one screw to remove element bracket. I placed tape over the holes with the wires so they wouldn’t pull back into the panel. Remove old element at tabs and replace. Very easy fix. Removing door to oven made it easier to get to but not necessary. Read more
Fix "meat probe shorted" or F3 E2 error codes with this oven temperature probe jack. Restores connection for probe-cook features in wall and range ovens.
Microwave won't start or shows door error? A blown thermal fuse is often the cause. This part protects circuits and restores power once installed.
I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold. We live in a very rural area and were not able to get ANYONE to service it - had 2 companies come out to inspect but they never returned. I have wonderful news! We replaced the fuse, bus fuse, and light bulb (quit working 2 years ago) and all is working. Thanks for the information and for the part diagram. Couldn't have done it without you. Read more
Microwave not heating? This high voltage capacitor works with the magnetron and diode to generate heat. Moderate DIY repair with proper safety precautions.
Replaced the magnetron, capacitor and diode. Symptoms of failure were change in tone/noise put out by the microwave and no heat in the item being microwaved. Could have been a failure of either the diode, capacitor or the magnetron, but I believe it was the magnetron that failed. Replaced all three. The right hand side of the housing needs to be removed to access these parts. Take lots of pictures for reference as it all comes apart, wiring, placement of the various screws, etc. Not an easy... Oven light won't turn on? This light transformer steps down voltage to power your oven cavity lights. Moderate DIY repair restores illumination.
Studied schematics and watched many on-line videos. Did some electrical checks with VOM (Volt/Ohm Meter). Determined that control panel thermal fuse attached to back of control panel had opened due to high temp. Determined that the upper oven thermal fuse on back of oven had opened due to high temp. Determined that transformer that supplies power to lights was bad (open primary). Removed control panel circuit board and had it repaired/verified good. Faulty control panel was the reason that oven... Read more

Fix a microwave that won't heat or shuts off unexpectedly. This thermal cut-off thermostat protects against overheating. DIY-friendly repair.
I measured the resistance between the two connectors on the magnetron: should be close to zero ohms and it was. I measured between the same connectors and the metal case: should be mega ohms, it was 15k ohms. That is a bad, partly shorted unit. I also checked the resistance of the thermal cut off, which should be zero but was 10 ohms so I replaced. The HV diode is checked with a 9 V battery (YouTube checking microwave HV diode) and it too was bad. Make sure to take pictures as you disassemble... Read more

Light assembly illuminates your oven cavity during cooking. Replace if light stays off, lens cracks, or wire connection breaks. Verify fit by model number.
If you don't mind taking the side and back off of the oven it is pretty simple to fish the line around to the plug in the back. You may want to check the type of plug before you order the part since some are male and others are female. I initially ordered the wrong plug for my oven and I have to order the female plug.
