This short block assembly is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer for use with the engine in many lawn and garden machines. The camshaft, crankshaft, piston, rod, valves, and governor are included in the kit. The gasket replacement kit is also included in the assembly. Damaged engines are costly and time-consuming to rebuild. Replacing the short block assembly is a less expensive option. Damage to the crankshaft is common in outdoor lawn and garden equipment. Rocks, sticks, and other debris can get caught in the engine and damage the camshaft or crankshaft. When this occurs, replacing the short block is easier than taking the entire short block apart to replace the damaged part. If the crankshaft is damaged, there is no reason to replace the entire engine when a replacement short block assembly will provide necessary repairs at a lesser cost.This short block assembly is sold as an individual part.
