It took two repair attempts to fix the dryer. At first, I noticed that the rear felt seal was completely worn out, so I thought that extra friction between the tub and the rear panel might be causing the motor to have to work too hard and overheat. Dryer Thermal Cut-Off Kit. There were two things different on my older Kitchen Aid dryer. One, the connector on the heating element was different from the one shown in the video. It came with an extra terminal. However, it actually turned out to be easier since I didn't have to cut, strip and crimp either of the wires.
