This water level pressure switch senses the tub's fill level through an air hose and signals the washer to start or stop filling and advance the cycle. Replacing a faulty switch restores proper fill levels and reliable cycle timing.
- Monitors water level via an internal pressure diaphragm connected to the tub air hose
- Opens/closes contacts to control the inlet valve and inform the timer/control
- Common symptoms: washer overfills or keeps filling, won't fill, incorrect/erratic water levels
- Cycle may stall at fill or rinse when the switch doesn't detect the proper level
What's included: 1 water level switch Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water before servicing
- Access the console; transfer wires to the new switch one at a time to maintain correct positions
- Inspect and firmly seat the pressure hose; ensure the hose and tub air dome are clear and the hose isn't cracked or kinked
- After installation, run a test fill to verify proper shutoff at the selected level

Wash machine once in a while would stop running Daniel B. • Leesburg , FL • May 13, 2016
I found that turning the water level switch back and forth would activate the machine So I replaced the water level switch and the plastic hose that connected to it.
I purchased a clamp in the purchase, but it was the wrong size! There wasn't a clamp used in the original set up, so I installed the switch and hose without it! It was the video instructions and having the correct parts that made that made this a easy repair!
Thank You
