Bought replacement part, exact fit. 2 screws out, 2 screws in EASY PEEZY. Hardest part was finding my 3/8 socket and waiting for the part which came way faster then expected. This is 2nd time APP saved me. Last time was for a 37 dollar relay that my appliance guy told me was my compressor. He told me to buy a new fridge because he wasn't going to replace the compressor. Removed the freezer shelves and back panel, evaporator coils were frozen with ice. Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement. Also discovered the aluminum retention strap was broken and the heater had slipped down in it's position, ordered and replacement strap. Emptied the door, removed the top door hinge plate, removed the door, then removed the damaged lower hinge plate and bushing, and then replaced them with the new parts. Everything went back together just fine, and now the door closes properly, and stays closed! Thanks!! Read more

I removed the cardboard cover on the back of the fridge with a 1/4 inch nut driver. I disconnected all of the wire harness connections. There were a total of 6 or 7. I removed the bolts on the compressor so I could access the ground wires behind the compressor. I removed the ground wires behind the compressor as well as the ones in front of the compressor.
