It took two repair attempts to fix the dryer. At first, I noticed that the rear felt seal was completely worn out, so I thought that extra friction between the tub and the rear panel might be causing the motor to have to work too hard and overheat. I ordered a new seal from appliancepartspros.com, and installed it according to their instructional video, but it did not correct the problem. Then I decided that the motor must be going bad, so I watched the on-line video on how to remove the... Read more
When I found the dryer off Craigslist, I didn't notice until recently the front panel plug was missing. I ordered the plug from Appliance Parts Pros, got the part & installation took seconds as it was a snap-in part. Couldn't be any happier. Also discovered the drum would not light up when the door opened. Ordered the bulb also from Appliance Parts Pros. Unplugged the dryer, unscrewed the lens cover, removed the burned bulb, cleaned out the light area, installed the bulb, replugged the... Read more

Reverse the past few steps and re-attach the wires and screw. Simple as that. I also chose to replace the Broiler Element as a... Read more

I searched on the Internet and found the 3 most likely culprits. Since the dryer is 24+ years old, I decided to just purchase all 3 and replace them. The dryer cycling thermostat was different than the original, so I didn't replace it. 20 minutes and I had the dryer thermal fuse and thermostat replaced and the dryer functioning. I ordered the parts on... Read more
