Light Bulb
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 6912JB2004M

The Light Bulb is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It can be used in either the fresh food section or freezer compartment, providing illumination for easy visibility of the stored items.

Causes of a faulty light bulb can include regular wear and tear, reaching the end of its lifespan, or accidental breakage. These factors can result in issues such as a dark or poorly lit interior, making it difficult to see the contents of the refrigerator.

Symptoms of a bad light bulb may include:

  • No illumination or dim lighting inside the refrigerator
  • A flickering or intermittent light
  • Visible damage or broken filament inside the bulb

This LG OEM bulb is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You LG french door refrigerator lights failed   Phil M. • Santa Cruz , CA • November 06, 2019

So I read a number of the earlier posts regarding the required repairs and went forward with all those repairs. In short, I replaced the wiring harness, door switches, and bulbs. The problem still persisted so I went ahead and replaced the control board. That did the trick. So for my unit, LG LFX25960ST replacing all those components were required. All repairs were easy and the videos and posts are all helpful. Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You The refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling and the beeping alarm that indicates a door is not closed all the way was beeping   Carla P. • Keller , TX • July 14, 2015

The alarm beeped for two days before I figured out that the light switch in the freezer was the problem. The light bulb- I thought - had burned out a long time ago, but it was actually frozen to where the light just would not come on. Apparently the freezer door had been left open long enough to thaw out the switch and now the light was working. Problem was that now it wasn't turning off even when the door closed. This was telling the unit that the door was open, hence the continuous... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You My LG refrigerator ice maker was leaking water inside the ice maker cavity in the left side door in addition I was getting moisture around the ice door seal and the cold air ducts   James W. • Seal Beach , CA • October 20, 2018

I replaced the ice maker assembly, which included the motor and electronics. I also replaced the door seal and the input cold air duct seals. The ice maker is mounted with only 2 philips screws, so it is easy to remove. The most difficult part is the harness, specifically the ground screw. The issue is that the wire is short and you need to turn the unit in order to get a screwdriver in. It would help to have a short screwdriver, but I was, finally, able to remove it with the full length... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Pcb assembly display dimmed led   David E. • Corrales , NM • April 03, 2017

I don't do appliance repairs. However I read several reviews from others about how easy this repair was, so decided to attempt it myself. As others have said, the most difficult part of this repair is figuring how to get the housing for the ice and water dispenser out of the door. I used a very small flat head screwdriver and started at the lower left hand side. As I was able to slightly pry the housing open, I used another screwdriver so as not to loose the ground I had gained. You need to... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You An lg double door refrigerator had broken drawers and a seal/stop cracked off so one door wouldn't close   Linda R. • Saint Petersburg , FL • October 04, 2014

We looked at the diagrams on your site and were able to tell which parts we needed. We had tried other sites and could not recognize the parts because the diagrams did not have a zoom. LG would not give us the information because they have a contract with a local parts/repair company. We bought three parts and were able to fix the fridge without bringing in any outside help. We weren't sure about the seal/stop part but once we saw it we figured out how to replace it. Read more

Overload (Motor Protector)
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: 6750C-0004U

This motor overload protector helps prevent motor overheating by cutting power if the motor draws excessive current or gets too hot. It restores normal operation once the motor cools, helping protect the main motor from heat-related damage. What it does:

  • Senses excessive motor current/heat and interrupts power to stop the motor from overheating
  • Can prevent burning or further damage when a motor is overloaded or stuck
  • Common symptom: washer motor hums but won't start or spins intermittently
  • Works as a protective component in the washer's motor circuit
What's included:
  • One overload (motor protector) as shown
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before accessing or replacing the overload
  • Access the motor area from the rear or bottom panel per your model's service instructions
  • Handle terminals carefully and reconnect wires to the correct terminals
  • If symptoms persist after replacement, test the motor and related components.
