This 115V water inlet valve controls water flow to the refrigerator's dispenser and ice maker, restoring reliable water supply when the valve fails. Designed to replace a faulty solenoid valve and stop leaks or no-water issues. What it does

Opens and closes water flow to the ice maker and door dispenser when energized.

Install notes

I took 11 year old washer apart, by watching step by step instructional video on this site. Found the problem & order the part (inner tub,shaft & spider). It's a shame you can't just order the spider, because the stainless steel tub & shaft were still perfectly good. Apparently, this is the manufactures way of making money.
