Fixes dispenser lid that won't stay closed or fell off during wash. This short hinge pin secures the detergent cover. Easy 15-minute DIY repair.
The foam was shot on the detergent cup lid. Hard as a rock. Causing caking problems, dribble down the inside wall of the door and leaving lumps of detergent. Cut the door in half wit aviation snips and pulled out the two halves. Discovered at this point that the spring had gone soft. Bought one ahead of time, so I was set. Put the spring on the left pin, put the spring pin in the door, slipped the door into place (open) and put the right pin in with pliers. Door snaps open now. Read more

I searched online and found the parts on this site. Since I needed them as soon as possible I ended up calling a local self-proclaimed Whirlpool expert shop. When I told the guy on the phone my situation he told me "you can't buy those separately." Since that was a dead end I decided to order the parts, but since it was a holiday weekend coming up, and it was already Wednesday, I hoped to have them on Monday. I ordered the parts at about 2:00 p.m. and was astonished when they arrived the next... Read more
Replacement fastening screw for securing trim, panels, and brackets inside appliances. Use when original screw is missing, stripped, or damaged.
I pulled out the old housing and unplugged the motor. It pretty much came out in pieces. Remove the plastic from the motor, then had to take a pair of vice grips to hold the spindle in place to remove the auger. Remove what was still attached to the old Housing. Cleaned everything up and put the whole unit back together. The motor looked like it was somewhat cooked but still worked, so I ordered a new motor and auger to replace it. Because this fridge is 24 yrs old, Appliancepartspros... Read more
