This control board is made for use with washing machines. The basic purpose of the component is to regulate the speed at which the washer spins during a cycle. It determines and executes all of the essential functions of the appliance. It can control the drain pump, drive motor, fill valves, and other parts. If this part is damaged or malfunctioning, the washer may have trouble draining, spinning, filling, or starting. If this part is damaged, it will need to be replaced to continue using the washing machine. Unplug the power cord from the wall and then take the control knob from the front of the console panel. Pull the washer forward and remove the screws from the top of the back panel. Disconnect the mounting clips and take off the air hose. Remove the mounting screws and remove the control board. Document the placement of wires before disconnecting them. Reassemble in the opposite way and plug in the washer before use. This control board is made to be compatible with washing machines by Maytag.
