I ordered all the parts necessary to replace the heating element and thermostat on a Sunday night. Appliance Parts Pros shipped on Monday AM and I received them on Wednesday. It took me 45 minutes to disassemble the dryer, replace the parts and have the dryer working again. It should be good for another 35 years which should cover me for my needs. Ultimately is was discovered and caused by the blower wheel shaft opening was cracked and broken. Replaced blower fan wheel. Read more

I took the front of the dryer off and after a few tests for continuity, I discovered the heating element had completely broken apart. I ordered the element to restring it into the housing. It was easy to do and took about 30 minutes to do. Read more

I was looking for a parts sight and found yours. I started to watch all the video tutorials on each part and the "check these connections first video". Well by doing this I was able to find the source of my problem. What I thought was the heating coil not working right, ended up being the timer that was bad!!! Replaced it with the video listed..Maytag Atlantis dryer was not heating. Checked all components inside dryer, thermostat, coils, etc. All check out ok ......last thing I checked was the terminal. Replaced the control board after removing the inner door liner, plastice board cover and board itself, by removing screws, working various plastic clips/tabs and unclipping wire harnesses from board. most of time was spent cleaning the black soot from the door, which had a terrible burnt electrical/plastic fire smell. Cleaned mold/scale off of as much of the door as I could while in there as well. Removing parts without breaking plastic tabs to hold the new parts was trickiest part. Read more

I have a Maytag washer that is over 30 years old and still runs like a top. When the siphon break got destroyed in our move, I was able to find a replacement kit that fixed our problem. I found a video on UTube that showed us just what to do. I'm delighted I didn't have to buy a new washer since the quality of new ones doesn't hold a candle to the quality of my Maytag. Read more

Weekend laundry became very noisy, our 1987 Whirlpool washer began doing a dance across the floor and the drum was banging into the inner cabinet. After doing some research and watching a few videos on Appliance parts pros website. I inspected the washer and noticed one leg the rubber coating disintegrated, decided to change all four legs, springs and lid switch. Hardest part of the job is getting the cabinet together. At first i just bought the belt, started dryer and off came the belt, and yes it was in place,looking at the idler arm it had a lot off back and forth movement so i ordered the whole assembly but the spring which no one has.put it all together again but drum barely turned.. so back apart and belt was in place. took the idler spring out cut 4 loops off it re did the end so it would hook on idler arm.and that did the trick.runs like new.
