After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. It was an easy repair to swap out the new parts for the old, and the only tool necessary was a #2 phillips screw driver. The endcaps are tricky to install. You have to be carefull and make sure you remove all the screws, otherwise you WILL break the clips that the screws hold on to in your new endcaps.I broke two, but fortunately they were the ones that end up hidden, and the piece still fits perfectly. Unfortunately, despite some dedicated efforts on the part Audrey Patrick and others, the problem was not solved. I replaced the door hinges, liner and gasket, but none of these solved what I believe is a flawed design.
