My husband googled the issue, took apart the oven to see what he needed and we ordered the parts. The oven was back up and running like new within a week! To buy a new oven to replace the one we own would have been well over $700. This was an $80 fix. Read more
Had to remove the oven door first. Removed three hex head metal screws from bottom trim and two Phillips head screws from the top. Got stuck at this point because the inner door would not separate from the outer door. After searching the internet, found the manual and procedure to separate the two, pry them apart, IT WORKED! After that just remove the old hinges and reinstall the new ones. Read more
The replacement was easy, BUT my Spectra model required removal of the front crystal. This wasn't hard, but I found nothing about it on the internet or YouTube. Remove the four plastic nuts and then the crystal. Then it's easy. Read more
We ordered the parts and watched the help videos. It was "almost" exact in telling us what we needed to go. Our cooktop is 16 years old and had a ton of greasy buildup that had slowly gotten down into the knobs and was a sticky mess to undo. However the parts fit perfectly, and after 2 hours of careful "home engineering" we made it happen and everything works aweome now.
