A truss-head shoulder screw used where a short, smooth bearing surface and a wide head are needed for pivoting or locating parts. Replaces worn or missing screws to restore proper alignment and movement. What it does:
I replaced the ball and socket connection for the drum. After doing so, I realized that the belt had been stretched and the tension pulley was not putting enough tension on the belt to turn the drum. After ordering a new belt, extra screw that was lost while disassembling the dryer, and some high temperature lubricant for the drum ball and socket the dryer now runs as well as it did when it was new. Opened oven door to the fully opened position. Pulled up the the lock located on both hinge supports and engaged it in the hook of the hinge levers. You may need to apply a little downward pressure on the door to pull the locks fully over the hooks. In addition, you may need to use a flat head screwdriver to "help" engage the hinge locks over the hook. Hold the door securely on both sides (not the door handle). Pulled the bottom of the door up and toward me to disengage the hinge supports.... Read more
