Unfortunately, despite some dedicated efforts on the part Audrey Patrick and others, the problem was not solved. I replaced the door hinges, liner and gasket, but none of these solved what I believe is a flawed design. Thankfully, AppliancePartsPros generous return policy allowed me to pursue the repair without risking the cost of failure. My thanks to the company and to all those who were involved. Read more

Used thick pad on kitchen table to hold oven door. Open door to first position (broil) and used soft leather gloves to lift up and remove. Door is heaver than it looks. Remove burners by turning counterclockwise, unhook ignitor and ground wires, remove set screw (one under each burner), lift range top, loosen the brass nuts on each gas tube, remove damaged assemblies. Install new... Read more

I used to have a ferret that liked to steal socks but I did not know she had been crawlinging into my stove to hide stuff. She had made a nest out of the insulation but did not hurt any wires. I cleaned up the sides of my stove and noted that the wires and mechanisms were all fine. I knew all I needed was the side and top wrap of insulation. I went to the hardware store, they didn't carry it. All the local companies, including box stores also stated it was "out of stock." I got on the... Read more
