Looked up in my appliance instruction book what and where to order from. Have to say it was very confusing on this site which one to order. Luckily when the glass shelf arrived it was the right one....although it was not an easy job getting the shelf out to put glass in. Service delivery was quick and price was surprisely low. I ordered the 2 parts which were genuine GE parts and much less expensive than ordering directly from GE. All I had to do was remove the old parts and pop the new ones into place! All of 5 minutes. Read more
Easy to replace with the shield and paddle assembly. Steps are: 1. use a flat head screwdriver to push the tabs at the base of the control panel. remove the wire connectors by gently prying them straight off. 2. remove the 4 phillips screws holding in the old assembly. 3. Install the new assembly by carefully putting the paddle behind the water pipe that sticks out. You may have to push the paddle one way to get it around the pipe and then back into place. 4. reinstall the screws. 5. reconnect... Read more
Since the compressor was still working, I guessed that either the interior fan was bad or the main control board. Since fans are usually very reliable, I decided to replaced the main control board. Immediately after replacing the board, the refrigerator began working normally. Thank goodness that solved the problem because replacing the board is much easier that replacing the fan on my refrigerator. Read more

I welded the auger first but it didnt seem to last. i then took the whole thing apart and found more worn parts so i ordered all of the parts i needed and replaced them. it now works like new. Read more
