Replaced motor and solenoid cube along with dispenser auger. Simply watched video on repair and installation and really had no problem. My refrigerator is so old that one of the holes in the motor did not align properly. Had to drill another hole to mount the motor to the housing, took ten minutes. The ice auger took the longest as I was afraid of breaking the plastic housing trying to get the tabs to release. Had to watch the video twice to make sure I got the blades back in the right order.... Read more

Covers and protects the interior light assembly from food contact and spills
Helps diffuse and direct light for clearer visibility inside the compartment
Prevents direct bulb exposure, reducing risk of breakage and soiling
Commonly replaced when cracked, melted, discolored, or missing

One top interior light shield

Install notes:

Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any work
Remove shelves or clips as needed to access the shield; handle plastic parts gently to avoid cracking
Reinstall carefully so the shield seats securely on its mounting points; do not force or overtighten fasteners
If the light bulb was exposed, replace with the correct rated bulb per manufacturer instructions
