Fridge was making clicking noise and not cooling. Ice dispenser wasn’t working either. Research lead me to believe main board was out. YouTube video said to also replace compressor start relay and overload as well. Replaced all 3 parts in 15 minutes and back up and running. Read more
I looked for a site that sold replacement parts for my make of GE refrigerator. I found AppliancePartsPros, and was very surprised at how organized it was. We took the old drawer out and put the new drawer in and then explained to the kids that the drawers in the refrigerator are not steps. At least the drawer part of the fix was successful. The children resisting climbing the frig... time will tell. Read more
Replaced motor and solenoid cube along with dispenser auger. Simply watched video on repair and installation and really had no problem. My refrigerator is so old that one of the holes in the motor did not align properly. Had to drill another hole to mount the motor to the housing, took ten minutes. The ice auger took the longest as I was afraid of breaking the plastic housing trying to get the tabs to release. Had to watch the video twice to make sure I got the blades back in the right order.... Read more
