Removed the lower right back panel and followed a GE Troubleshooting/support video for side-by-side GE models. AppliancePartPros shipped overnight when both Sears and GE didn't. Pricing was better than GE and competitive with other appliance part sites. Read more
I found the appropriate parts on the appliancepartspros.com website and placed the order. I recieved an email informing me that the parts were on back order with an expected ship date by the manufacturer. It took a while for the part to arrive, but well worth the wait. We had been keeping the door closed with a wedge, and the fix was very easy and the parts were exactly what was needed. Now the door works like new and we aren't looking at a broken door cap.
