Mounting screw for refrigerator door hinges and internal components. Replace if stripped, missing, or damaged during hinge repair or door removal.
Ordered the pieces from here. Downloaded the user manual. I never work on appliances but I couldn't justify the $200 a service tech would have charged to fix a $35 part. Followed the manual and removed the door. Replaced the broken plastic pieces. BE VERY CAREFUL not to strip the screws. I did and that's another story. Very easy to fix. You will need a second person to help guide the door back onto the frame. Read more

I thought that I needed to repair the water supply. But it all looked OK. I had turned the power off for a few minutes hoping to clear any false info from the numerous power outages. And with hours of research, I found some info about the door switch on top of the freezer. It suggested placing a magnet above the switch to silence the noise. This did the trick. Shortly after I heard the ice maker filling. I tested the water feed, and it was working. I then ordered a new switch and replaced it.... Read more

Having all the details and in advance of another broken handle, I ordered the part, just to have when it breaks. Read more
Fixes corroded or broken wiring causing motor failure. Connects evaporator fan motor to electrical system. Moderate DIY repair, requires panel removal.
Changed the evaporator fan cover. I was told it comes with the fan motor and it did not so I had to order a fan motor. Then I found the fan wire harness was corroded and broken. I also installed an aluminum tab on the heater element that extends down the drain hole. I also had to clean the back of the fridge and unclog the two drain tubes on the back of the fridge next to the compressor and now it works fine.
