My husband followed the directions that were on the website and was successful in installing the new part. We did have to stretch the gasket a little to fit all the way around the oven and the oven door latch needed to be adjusted a little for the door to shut tight. I'm sure the gasket will compress some and will make it easier to shut the door in the future. Replaced the burner, pan, ceramic block and the control. The control was the problem replacing it. 1.) control did NOT match the "B" type with regard to connection placement on the instruction sheet. 2.) The Instruction sheet was dated 1988! How about a revised sheet with the CORRECT diagram of the back of the control. 3.) H1 connection is actually 2 pins. Which is confusing in the least and can contribute to mis connections of H1 and H2 which causes a short circuit and trips the breaker!... Read more

The oven is very old and the price for the part at sears was outrageous. I found the part here for next to nothing. The video on the repair was great. It took me 5 minutes to fix the socket. Read more
