Rubber grommet that secures and cushions the evaporator or condenser fan motor in your refrigerator. Replace if cracked, worn, or missing to stop vibration.
Removed refrigerator panel, disconnected light and fan power. Removed fan assembly and replaced motor, grommets and fan attachment spring. Unit had adhesive on spring to help hold the spring. Chatted with customer service and clarified that spring and fan would easily pull off motor shaft. Adhesive probably was extra measure used during original build of the fridge. Noise was due to fan rubbing on housing. New fan position set to avoid any rubbing. Read more

Replace water filter case AP5781884 (DA81 05886A) Refrigerator is only 3 years old, so the noise when using the water dispenser or when the ice maker filled was very disappointing and annoying. This repair required removing the rear bottom panel to access the water filter case tubing, removing the bottom drawer in the refrigerator side to access and remove the case (1 screw holds this in), and the bottom front grill to access the 2 connectors for the tubing from the case to the freezer side... Then he informed me that he did not have part and was going to be on vacation for a week. So I finished tearing apart the freezer to get to part removing the ice maker and rear panel, removed fan and ordered new parts, parts arrived as said and I put back together.
