I unplugged the unit. Let the evap thaw. Measured with an ohm meter the temp sensor, defrost sensor and evap heaters. Defrost sensor measured completely " closed". Put sensor into hot water and ice, the reading never changed. Ordered sensor from AP PROS, got the part extremely fast, installed part, freezer was making ice in an hour. I replaced the evap fan motor assembly after thawing out the evaporator. I replaced the evap motor assembly because i damaged it while defrosting the evaporator. Too much heat warped the fan blade and bracket.
