I had a friend watch the video and do the work. There was a problem in that the screws were rusted to the back plate and would not screw off. My friend had to use a drill to drill through them to be able to remove them. He had to go to a hardware store to buy a new set. Once we had the new screws it went fairly quickly. I followed the Appliance Parts Pro's advice videos for the Maytag MAV6451AWW Atlantis washer on replacing the snubber ring and the suspension springs. Everything went just fine except replacing the two rear most suspension springs. None of the videos illustrated REINSTALLING the REAR springs which is extremely difficult because you can't get enough leverage with your arm extended. Took dryer apart and replaced blower wheel, belt, rear drum roller bearings,, belt idler pulley. Read more
Replaced all seals, unfortunately it is still leaking. I can see where it is leaking from. I am going to tear it back down use some ultra grey gasket maker and reinstall tub gasket. Hoping that works. If it still leaks I will be using the washer as a large paper weight. Read more
