This rear tub is the OEM replacement outer tub section that supports the wash basket and helps contain water inside the washer cabinet. Replacing a damaged rear tub restores proper drum alignment and helps prevent leaks. What it does:
Replaced rear drum housing and bearings. Don't forget to pull the rubber gasket from the old unit as the replacement part does not include one. Read more

Disassembled washer, found that 2 out of the 3 basket support legs had cracked through. Unfortunately, support cannot be bought except as an assembly, so had to spend almost $300 for the part. Bearings were worn, but not trashed, so I replaced them and the seal. Note, most parts places (including AppliancePartsPros.com) will only sell the bearings and seal as part of the rear tub assembly. The bearings are standard 6205 and 6206 sealed ball bearings, available from Grainger and many others for... Read more
I followed Matt's awesome video from AppliancePartsPros.com to build up my "I can do this" reserves. But here's the story leading up to that point... After receiving the switch, I opened the cover and found the original switch had fallen off it's mounting (for who-knows how long ago) and was resting against the drum. Over time, the movement of the drum... Read more
After much troubleshooting & four parts later (2 electronic control boards & harness wire) it was the motor. The washing machine would start & run the 1st cycle & when it drained the motor sparked & the error message would appear. Approximately 10 minutes into a cycle each time. Read more
