This pump and motor assembly circulates and drains dishwasher water to ensure proper washing and draining. It restores normal water movement so dishes get cleaned and the tub drains after a cycle. What it does:
- Circulates wash water through spray arms for effective cleaning.
- Pumps water out of the tub during drain cycles.
- Can cause noisy operation, poor cleaning, standing water, or failure to drain when defective.
- Works as the combined sump/pump motor unit used in many Whirlpool-family dishwashers.
What's included: One pump and motor assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any repair to avoid electric shock.
- Turn off the water supply and remove lower access panels to reach the pump/sump area.
- Handle as a single assembly; check and clear any debris or foreign objects from the sump and inlet before reinstalling.

The Thermostat Clip is an OEM part for Whirlpool dishwashers. It plays an important supporting role by securely fastening the thermostat sensor inside the wash chamber.
Symptoms of a faulty Thermostat Clip can include:
- Fluctuating or inconsistent water temperatures between cycles
- Inability to properly detect temperature for desired heat levels
- Longer cycle times needed for reaching required temperatures
- Strange sounds or condensation around thermostat connection
Causes could arise from typical wear and tear stresses weakening plastic retaining clips. Exposure to harsh detergents may also erode clip material integrity over time.
This OEM replacement part is compatible with KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Kenmore, and select Hotpoint and Roper dishwasher models as well.

Leaks from around the door and from the pump motor Samuel M. • Sudbury , MA • January 12, 2016
1. To fix the leaks from around the door, I replaced the upper and lower door seals. These were purchased in a separate transcation, so they are not the parts shown here. The upper door seal worked as intended, but the lower seal would not stay in place on the lower edge of the door during a wash. Therefore I cleaned the grease and detergent off the old seal, and installed using silicone sealer/adhesive. The plastic edge pieces for the lower seal were supplied with the kit, and they installed...

This inlet base seal is a gasket that fits between the inlet base and its mating surface. Replacing a worn seal helps maintain proper airflow through the inlet path and keeps spills and debris out of internal components.

- Helps preserve correct airflow through the inlet path
- Blocks liquids, grease, and crumbs from leaking into the appliance interior
- Replace if the seal is cracked, flattened, brittle, loose, or you see visible gaps
What's included: One inlet base seal.
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing
- Remove grates/cartridges, filters, or trim as needed to access the inlet base
- Clean and dry mating surfaces; install the new seal in the same orientation without stretching or twisting
- Reassemble and verify the seal sits evenly with no gaps

My maytag is getting old Woody H. • Purcell , OK • November 27, 2017
I ordered extra parts because they were on sale. I also picked up the heating element and thermal Fuse too. The actual problem was the Cycling thermostat opened up on us. It was an easy fix. Its great that you have repair videos on your site.
