Trim piece was missing clips door was missing handle Wilfred T. • Saco , ME • August 19, 2015
I found and ordered clips and a door handle from Appliancepartspros.com
I found the clips pretty pricy, but they fit perfectly, the door handle was a perfect
fit but should have come with the two screws, the price was very reasonable,
I saved a $60.00 service fee from an appliance serviceman

We took the bottom piece of the dryer, took out the thermal fuse & heating element saw the heating element was broken so we replaced both of them. Also reversed the dryer door.

Whirlpool duet dryer stuck on "sensing" when start button pushed Andrew R. • South Burlington , VT • June 17, 2014
Googled the problem. Found a discussion on the appliancepartspros.com forum pertaining to this issue. Went through a couple of the suggested diagnostic tests. The link to the technical manual was very helpful. Determined that the control board was likely the problem. Very easy to order and I knew that appliancepartspros.com had a return policy in case that didn't fix it. Got the part the day after I ordered it even just with ground shipping. Easy to install and the problem was fixed.

Color: Platinum - This is a Whirlpool dryer user interface. It sits behind the outer control panel on top of the dryer and manages and monitors the dryer's cycles. The user interface can short out due to power surge or exposure to excessive heat or moisture. If the dryer is not responding to user input, the control has likely shorted out. Before installing this part, be sure to disconnect power to the appliance and allow it to cool completely. The dryer will need to be pulled away from the wall to access the screws holding the outer control panel in place. Remove the screws from each side of the control panel to gain access to the old control. Disconnect any wire harnesses connected to it and remove any screws mounting it in place before installing the new part. This is a genuine OEM part compatible with dryers manufactured by Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others. This product contains no additional parts or hardware.

Dryer would not power on the control panel had 2 or 3 very dim leds on we could sometimes cut off the circuit breaker overnight and it would work for a couple of loads Harold S. • Birmingham , AL • July 27, 2014
The troubleshooting guide indicated a faulty main control board so we ordered one. That did not fix the problem so I called the Appliance Pros help line. They sent out another board, thinking we could have gotten a defective new board. Still the same symptoms so I sent those 2 boards back for full credit and ordered the "interface" board. The dryer has been operating fine since then. It was a pleasure dealing with an American company and talking to people in the USA! Everyone was very helpful...
