Replaced water line to ice maker and installed redesigned p trap drain. I watched the installation videos and my wife and I easily completed this project. One thing that I want to add for others. When the ice maker supply was leaking, it filled the funnel in the ice maker with an ice block. I had to remove the ice maker(which is pretty easy) and defrost the ice block before reinstalling the supply line. If I had not, the water would have poured into the ice bin. Read more

I am not a plumber, but very good with anything mechanical. I uninstalled the broken icemaker, swapped the wiring and ice bar from the old icemaker to the new one, and installed the new icemaker all in 12 minutes and 37 seconds from start to finish, which includes pulling out the two freezer baskets and pulling off the freezer door. Removed all the food from the freezer and most from the fridge before starting. Tipped fridge back until I could place a 2 x 4 a couple of inches behind the front rollers. With the front of the fridge now approximately 3 to 4" off the ground you can remove the adjusting bolt and the roller assembly can be pulled out of the brackets. Slide out of the notches where that hold it into the bracket. Same to install. Read more

The plastic piece on the handle where the screw goes in to hold glass door up had broke. I ordered new handle, the retainer pieces that go over the plastic pieces to lock it all in and screws that were suggested. The screws were the wrong ones. They were way too small. I already had one screw and thankfully only had to buy 1 new one because the screw was $40 and shipping’s $10 for it AND it’s on back order right now. Replaced the gasket on the freezer. The hardest part was getting the gasket to return back to its original shape. Used a blow dryer for like half an hour over it and left it on the floor until it was ready. I probably should have just let it take a bath in warm water then dried it off. That would have been much faster. Anyways, it solved my problem and now the freezer has no ice build up anymore. Read more
