This water inlet valve is a genuine OEM replacement part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer for use in washing machines. The water inlet valve is the gatekeeper for the water flow into the washer. When the operator sets the wash cycle, the solenoid fires up and tells the valve to open the gate for hot or cold water or both to fill the washer tub. When the tub has filled to a preset level, the valve gates close and the water flow stops. If this valve fails, the water will not stop and will eventually flood or the water might not be signaled to flow at all. This repair requires a Phillips screwdriver and pliers. Disconnect the power source and turn the water off before working on the washing machine. Remove the back panel from the washer and locate the inlet valve. Disconnect the hoses from the valve. Remove the damaged valve. Install the new inlet valve. Connect the hoses in the same order they were removed and put the back panel on the washer. Reconnect the water and power. This water inlet valve is made of molded plastic and is individually sold. It does not include screws. It is made specifically for washing machines manufactured by LG.
I found other posts on AppliancePartsPros.com to be helpful. Most people and pros indicated that it was the Cold Water intake valve which has 4 solenoids on it. I watched the video to replace the Hot Water valve which is right next to it. My washer opened differently than the one in the video but it was not hard to figure out. Tools needed; Philips screwdriver and pair of regular pliers. I took the screws off of the small panel on top on the back of the washer. This allowed the control... Read more

The control board on my LG washing machine died. An LG authorized repairman said that a replacement part was unavailable. Next day, I found the part on AppliancePartPros.com. FedEx delivered it two days later, and with just a bit of effort, I managed to remove and replace the dead control board myself. The only tricky thing is getting the new board in exactly the right place -- if you overtighten the screws, the board presses up against the backside of the keypad and multiple buttons are... This is a main control board intended for use with washing machines. This is the part that controls all of the functions on the appliance. This includes managing each cycle. When this part fails, the controls will not work properly. When the button to start the wash is pressed, nothing will happen. It is also possible that some functions will work while others won't. The appliance may also display an LE error code. In some cases, the washing machine will not turn on, fill, spin, or drain. If the cycle does start, it will likely stop working after a few seconds if this part has gone bad. Unplug the washing machine before replacing this part. This main control board is compatible with washing machines that are manufactured by LG. This part is sold individually. It is sourced directly from the manufacturer itself.
Persistent LE code despite swapping the Hall sensor. Wiring harness checked out ok from sensor and motor to the motherboard.with low resistance values and no changes with moving the wiring bundles, so I assumed no internal wiring breaks. Replaced motherboard and so far this seems to have corrected the problem. Read more
