Repair was straight foward and fairly simple. Removed 4 Phillips screws from rear top of washer and lid slid back and off very easily exposing the internals of the washing machine. Smoke could be seen coming from main control board when it was plugged in so cause was fairly easy to isolate. Opened case of control box to access plug connectors.
