The door boot gasket seals the opening between your front-load washer's door and outer tub, keeping wash water contained. Replace it if the boot is torn, deformed, or heavily mildewed to restore a reliable, watertight seal.
- Forms a watertight seal between the outer tub and door opening
- Prevents leaks from the front of the washer during wash and spin
- Flexible design maintains the seal as the drum moves
- Common failure signs: water on the floor at the front, dripping at the door, visible rips/cracks, or the boot pulling loose
What's included: 1 door boot gasket Install notes:
- Unplug the washer and turn off water supply; wear gloves to avoid sharp edges
- Access the boot by removing panels as required for your model; note hose positions and alignment
- Release the outer and inner retaining clamps/springs and remove the old gasket
- Seat the new gasket evenly, align indexing features/ports, reinstall clamps securely, and run a quick test for leaks
