Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Broken jet holder   Michael Y. • Hampstead , NC • December 05, 2017

While trying to access and clean brass jet orifices I wrenched the brass nut with chamfer too much (it was seized) and twisted the jet holder to the breaking point and collapsed the main front tubing. I had to hacksaw the rest off. After receiving replacement parts from APPs I was able to reassemble everything in a half hour or so. I lifted the unit countertop height and bridged my cutout with a couple of 2x4's to set it on. From there it was outside trim removal (about 20 screws) then you... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Two spark ignitor switches were faulty had to remove all 5 burners to get to the switch   Martin B. • Silver Spring , MD • December 27, 2015

I repaired a GE monogram 36” gas cooktop.ZGU375NDS1SS My problem was the sparking that wouldn’t shut off, so I needed to replace two ignitor switches, (GE part number WB24X10091 and WB24X10092. The switches are under the gas valve and you have to take all the burners apart to get to the pieces. Do the job in this order: Remove the knobs and the gray rubber circles below them. Save them, they are dirt guards to keep food out of your switches. Remove the phillips head screws under the knobs. Two... Read more

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Missing a burner cover and the gas regulator.   Conrad M. • Santa Ana , CA • December 02, 2016

Bought a used Monogram Professional stove. Apparently, when it was removed they didn't save the gas inlet fittings which had the regulator on it. Pretty straight forward install of the stove. It was also missing one of the gas burner covers. The ones I had feel like steel and a magnet does stick to them, but the replacement part is listed as "ceramic?" I was concerned when I ordered it, but sure enough it's the same as the others. Read more
