Oven shows ERR code or won't heat after door opens? The convection relay board controls voltage to heating elements. Moderate DIY repair fix.
Symptoms varied: oven not starting; oven preheats OK but after you open the door to put in food and close it, the oven showed temp OK, didn't turn on, and heat would drop to nothing over time; other times, it would begin preheating then start beeping and showing the temperature setting, then an 'ERR' and die. Would not start unless I shut off the circuit breaker, then turn it back on. At first i replaced the temp probe, which worked once then all the above began again. Next I replaced the... Read more

Stumbled upon Appliance Parts Pros web site and after some research bought 2 circuit boards. (UIB) Interface Board AP4501702 and ESEC Relay Board AP5780950. I carefully replaced the UIB board first and it solved the problem. Things like taking the door off can be found on the internet and took me far more time than actually replacing the board. I have never used APP before but understand that the other board is returnable. I am a very happy and future customer. Read more

Microwave won't turn on, made popping noise, or smells like burned electrical? The noise filter often fails when solder joints arc or short out.
When using the microwave it made a frying sound and completely stopped working. Took cover off (after unplugging) and found filter coil solder joints fried. Took a chance on replacing filter. Works perfectly now. Looking at the solder joints again, under magnification, discovered they were not done properly in the first place. Use caution with cover off, there is a capacitor near the filter that could prove dangerous. Also need tamper proof torx bit to remove 2 of the cover screws, or small... Read more

I looked up my dryer on this website, then ordered that one. Later put it in myself. There was a nice note in the box telling to move one terminal from the old timer to the new one if it is missing the white wire, and transfer the resistor over to that, which I did and all went well. Dryer automaticly counts-down and turns off by itself now... Read more

Fix a dead control panel, non-responsive touchpad, or failed convection functions. This oven control board restores display and cooking modes. 10-minute DIY.
Removed the screws that hold the oven and microwave in the cabinet and slid the whole unit out 4 inches, and removed 2 screws on each side of the oven that hold the screen in. The entire front panel can then be removed. Used a very small flat screwdriver to unplug the plugs off the control board so the clips wouldnt break. Some of the plugs are labeled where they should go, but it would help to mark where they go just in case. Installed new panel in reverse order, easier than expected. Read more
