Replaced the door assembly Before taking the door off the washer I painted the hinges with a little finger nail polish to enable the hinges to be replaced correctly. Used petroleum jelly on the outside of the vent grommet (18) so it could easily be slipped on to the door liner. Also used the petroleum jelly on the bottom of the vent tube (17) to fit into the vent grommet. Easy-peasy. Took all of 10 minutes start to finish- most of that spent clearing glass chips from frame. I usually let repairmen do this kinda thing, but I couldn't justify the markup for the part, nor the 4 hr labor estimate. Saved myself about $600 and it really was super easy.
