Lee H Cleveland , MN June 04, 2020 Ice maker quit working. This was easier then I made it. Originally took the actual ice maker out without removing the whole system from the door. There are 3 silver screws that do that hold the whole mechanism in place, as opposed to the 5 white screws that hold the ice maker in place. With the entire assembly out it was a matter of routing the ground wire, retaping the wires, and then the whole assembly went back into the door without a problem. Need a phillips and a flat screwdriver, I also found a needle nose pliers made getting one of the screws in place easier. Overall a pretty simple swap. Waiting to enjoy some ice now. Stephen H Rockwall , TX February 12, 2024 Icemaker had stopped producing ice and a loud clicking noise was heard when the ice tray tried to dump. I replaced the icemaker assembly and now it’s as good as new. Previously I had taken the unit out by removing several white screws. I read a review that stated to remove the three silver screws and the entire unit comes out. That was a huge timesaver and made all the wiring accessible.
