Thermistor
Genuine Lg part
By: Lg
Part Number: EBG61305805

The Thermistor is an OEM replacement part for LG gas ranges. It serves as a highly sensitive temperature sensor mounted inside the oven cavity.

Symptoms of a bad thermistor include:

  • Inability to select certain cooking modes like bake or convection that involve temperature control
  • Fluctuating or inaccurate temperature readouts on oven displays
  • Irregular cooking outcomes like hot/cold spots inside the oven
  • Repeated error codes regarding temperature sensing issues

Causes can be attributed to prolonged exposures to heat and intermittent combustion byproducts inside the oven. Over a decade of use, these conditions may degrade the thermal and electrical properties of sensor components.

This genuine LG replacement thermistor installs effortlessly. Installing a new thermistor restores temperature monitoring required for reliable gas oven performance.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You High temperature thermostat went bad after running self clean function   John V. • Longmont , CO • September 09, 2014

Did some Google searches and most comments concerning this issue on LG stoves indicated the high temperature thermostat malfunctions when using the self cleaning function. This malfunction causes complete loss of power for the entire stove and locks the oven door. Since I wasn't completely sure if it was the thermostat or where it was for that matter, I called a service tech to troubleshoot the stove. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You F9 error code oven is on but times out because it will not heat up   Steven W. • Franksville , WI • May 08, 2015

Looked online. Others said to start with the thermostat because its cheap and easy to fix, so I did. The thermostat is located at the rear of the oven on the back. You need to remove a total of 3 panels to get to it. Do not confuse it with the thermal sensor at the rear of the oven on top. My thermostat was clearly deformed, and I had never run a self clean like other with testify to. Simply replace it - easy. Oven worked like new. Read more
