Ge WR17X11447 Ice Bucket Assembly OEM Part

After seeing the extensive list/pictures of repair parts available on your web site and really not knowing what parts needed to be replaced, I decided that it would be easier just to order a complete Ice Bucket Assembly. It took longer to open the box than it did to install the new Ice Bucket. And delivery was really quick too, about 4 days from order to delivery...that is service defined. I'll be back for any future repairs on my other appliances.

Having a difficult time getting the final parts separated to pull out the auger and get at the drive cup I decided to go ahead and order the complete assembly. During the process of the new order my wife was finally able to get the auger out and discovered the rod of the auger was trying to work its way through the plastic wall and had created such and indentation that the parts would not pull up and out like the video showed. I did replace the drive cup and all is working fine for now. However, I will keep the new complete assembly ready for the next time I need to replace a part and I believe the rod will eventually work its way through the plastic. I did appreciate the repair videos and quick shipping of both parts.

I removed the old ice bucket and put in the new one. No tools were needed...just my hands! I was most amazed about the amount of time it took to receive the new one. I ordered it on a Tuesday afternoon and it arrived the next day! I'm totally impressed!!!

The worm drive was no longer functioning, and had eaten through the front end plastic. I pulled out the old unit and slide in the new. Since there are a variety of GE integrated ice systems on the market, and the old one had no visible model number, your online photos were invaluable in helping to select the right model. The unblocking took longer than the installation.
