This is an input shaft kit from Hydro Gear. The input shaft is also sometimes called the clutch shaft. It extends from the transmission to the clutch disc and is responsible for carrying power between the two. This allows the main drive gear, located on the shaft, to operate effectively. Over time, this part can become worn due to repetitive motion or other damage. It may also become worn or be affected by the damage caused to other parts. The engine should be disconnected and cool prior to doing any work. Once replaced, the transmission should work properly and the drive gear will engage without missing a step.This is a genuine OEM replacement part. The kit includes the shaft and gear assembly to offer everything in one purchase.
